Description

NUX MG‑300 – Guitar Multi‑Effects Processor (MG300)

The NUX MG‑300 is a compact, affordable, and powerful multi‑effects processor designed for guitarists who want realistic amp modeling, high‑quality effects, and modern workflow features. Powered by TSAC‑HD pre‑effects and amp modeling plus Core‑Image post‑effects, the MG‑300 delivers exceptional tone and playability at an unbeatable price.

TSAC‑HD Pre‑Effects & Amp Modeling

NUX’s TSAC‑HD (True Simulation of Analog Circuit – High Definition) algorithm provides dynamic, responsive amp modeling that behaves like real tube amplifiers. The pre‑effects section includes realistic overdrives and distortions that avoid the harsh, linear feel of older digital units.

Core‑Image Post‑Effects

The MG‑300 includes the same high‑quality modulation, delay, and reverb algorithms found in NUX’s Mini Core and Verdugo series pedals. Effects include:

  • Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Vibe, Rotary, Vibrato
  • Multiple delays with tap tempo & subdivisions
  • Room, Hall, Plate, and Atlantic‑style reverbs

Impulse Response Cabinet Simulation

The MG‑300 uses 512‑sample IRs for cabinet simulation, offering more realism than traditional digital cab sims. Load 3rd‑party IRs via QuickTone™ software (48kHz WAV format). Includes 25 built‑in cab IRs with 4 microphones × 3 positions.

Drum Machine & 60‑Second Looper

MG‑300 includes:

  • 56 drum patterns
  • 8 rhythm styles × 7 beats each
  • 60‑second phrase looper with rhythm sync

The looper automatically quantizes your loop to match the drum BPM.

USB Audio Interface

Use the MG‑300 as a USB audio interface for recording, re‑amping, livestreaming, and practice. QuickTone™ allows routing configuration and real‑time parameter editing.

QuickTone™ Editor Software

Connect to QuickTone™ to:

  • Edit patches
  • Load IRs
  • Adjust USB routing
  • Rename presets
  • See real‑time knob movement

Firmware V4 Enhancements

MG‑300 V4 adds:

  • MLD Bass Amp model
  • Bass cabinet IRs (Trace Elliot 410, Aguilar DB810, Ampeg SV810)
  • Improved routing & performance
